Biography
Secretary
I became involved in victim and justice reform advocacy after my fiancé, Austin Utley, was murdered on May 28, 2019, at 30 years old. Due to multiple failures in the justice process, Austin’s killer remains free—an injustice no family should have to endure.
Despite the relentless efforts of myself and Austin’s family, the system failed us. I am determined to fight for those who have been silenced, I turn my grief into action.
Through my platform, Jessika For Justice, I raise awareness about the aftermath of homicide, the lifelong impact on victims’ families, and the systemic failures they often face in their pursuit of justice.
My work with Texas Crime Victims United stems from a deep commitment to supporting others in their search for justice. I understand firsthand the devastation of losing a loved one to violence and the obstacles that come with seeking accountability. By advocating for change, I hope to prevent others from enduring the same failures of the system.
