Our instructions:
To testify in person at a Texas House committee hearing, follow one of these steps:
Method 1 - Register at the Capitol:
Upon arrival at the Texas Capitol, use the touch-screen kiosks located in the Capitol Extension on levels 1 and 2 to complete a 5-step registration process.
Method 2 - Mobile Registration:
Alternatively, connect to the “Public-Capitol” Wi-Fi network on your iPad and visit hwrs.house.texas.gov to register. Note that this mobile registration is optimized for iPads running the latest iOS version.
Please Prepare in Advance:
To expedite the process, create your public profile beforehand at hwrspublicprofile.house.texas.gov.
Ensure you know the bill number, the committee hearing it, and the time and location of the hearing.
Registration Availability:
Witness registration opens at the discretion of the committee clerk.
