My daughter, Jessica Perez, was tragically murdered by a friend in August 2020 at just 24 years old. After nearly three years, Jessica’s case reached a resolution in June 2023 when a plea deal was finalized, sentencing her killer to 40 years in prison.

In the wake of this unimaginable loss, I have dedicated myself to honoring Jessica’s memory by advocating for homicide victims' families and pushing for stronger justice measures. I am committed to turning tragedy into purpose, ensuring that no family endures this journey alone.

With unwavering determination, I declare, “Jessica’s mama will not go quietly.”
